Orchid is a decentralized virtual private network.
The Orchid network aims to enable a decentralized Virtual Private Network (VPN), allowing users to buy bandwidth from a global pool of service providers.
- OXT is an ERC-20 token and is Orchid's native utility token. The token is used for staking when nodes join the network as routing service providers, and as a medium of payment for users to acquire VPN services. Orchid also allows users to buy a pre-funded Orchid accounts using native fiat currencies.
- Orchid utilizes probabilistic nanopayments to alleviate onchian transaction expenses for services payments.
- Users can access the Orchid network and its VPN services via the Orchid App client, which is available on iOS, Android, macOS, Linux, and Windows (planned).
